High Security Pas 24 Handles
The new security handle set from HOPPE is very different. The external backplate is manufactured like no other. The fact they are fully machined from a solid base material combined with
hardened steel lugs and security fixing screws, gives a much stronger construction than the traditional cast or pressed products fitted to most doors.
The industry security professionals highlight the cylinder as a vulnerable part of a doorset, including the surrounding hardware that operates a mortised or multipoint locking mechanism. Under section A.11 of PAS 24, along with controlled mechanical loadings, there is provision to attack the cylinder and Surrounding hardware using a set of specified tools in an attempt to gain entry through the door.
Most traditional cast and pressed backplates are lightweight and hollow, making them easily removable from a door, giving access to the vulnerable cylinder.
External back plates are manufactured from solid aluminium extrusion, thus providing added strength and attack resistance.
The sliding cylinder cover is designed to protect against attack and is adjustable to suit various cylinder lengths.
M6 case hardened steel screws are incorporated for added strength
The new handle has the same fixing positions as standard Hoppe products therefore making the product suitable for retrofitting, no additional routing or other preparation is required and no need to fit additional cylinder protection.
Third party independently tested to meet pas 24 requirements
The handles hold a secure by design licence

Product Assessment Specification
Enhanced security performance for door set assemblies
PAS 24 is recognised by Secure By Design as a method of testing a door set assembly to the minimum level of security. Tests are carried out on a complete door set in its frame with identified points of attack within the specification.
All HOPPE handles when tested to PAS 24-1 section A.11 the new handles surpassed the standard and achieved consistently
excellent results.
